Receiving the resident card

The client reached out to us to secure a startup residence permit in Spain.

It all began on October 17, 2024, when the process of obtaining a Schengen visa started.

1. Obtaining a Schengen Visa

We helped him collect all the necessary documents, including bookings and creating a proper travel narrative, as well as all the necessary instructions for obtaining a social card in Armenia for visa application. The application was submitted on November 21, and by December 19, he received his passport with the visa. From this moment, it was possible to adjust the residence permit application schedule to match his travel dates.

2. Project Submission

Immediately after the agreement, we began packaging the project according to ENISA requirements: goals, financial model, innovative component (including AI), job creation plan, impact on the economy. Everything was compiled into a single presentation + business plan.

End of November 2024 — submitted the project for review. Due to the New Year holidays, the process was slightly delayed, but already on January 16, 2025, approval from ENISA came along with confirmation of the first applicant’s right to a residence permit.

3. Preparation for Residence Permit Application

Application date: January 30, 2025

After receiving approval from ENISA, we collected a set of documents for the residence permit: forms, payment receipts, insurance, certificates, translations. Ivan chose the premium package, so he didn’t have to handle this personally — we processed and paid for everything for him.

January 30 — submission of the residence permit application (based on the already approved project).

4. Additional Request

Date of additional request: February 19, 2025

On February 19, an additional request came in: the bank asked for a statement with a blue stamp. We sent it, but no response was received.

On April 19 — to expedite the review, we filed an appeal to UGE regarding administrative silence.

5. Approval

Date of approval: May 8, 2025

6. Receiving the Resident Card

The next stage was fingerprinting. Due to high demand, an appointment was only available for June 3. We prepared all the necessary documents and registered the client.

On June 13, the resident card was ready, and Ivan received it personally in Barcelona. Now he can freely live and develop his business in Spain.
