If you still have questions, write to us!

To obtain this residence permit, you must confirm your income:
  • For the main applicant - at least 400% of the IPREM (approximately €28,800 per year).
  • For each dependent family member - an additional 100% of the IPREM (approximately €7,200 per year).
Funds can be confirmed by bank statements, investments or passive income.
No, the application must be submitted only at the Spanish Consulate in your country of residence. Once approved, you will be issued a category D visa, which will allow you to enter Spain and apply for the residence permit itself.
According to the rules, this residence permit prohibits any work activity in Spain, even if it is remote work. However, there are cases where applicants have continued to work remotely for clients from other countries.
Yes, after a year of residence in Spain, you acquire the status of a tax resident and are required to file a tax return on your income, including income received outside the country. A number of deductions can be applied to the tax return: for example, if the countries have concluded an Agreement on the Avoidance of Double Taxation, you can deduct the amount of tax paid in your country. Such an agreement is in effect between Russia and Spain.
Minimum 183 days per year if you plan to renew. This also means that you become a tax resident of Spain.
The initial residence permit is issued for 1 year. Then it can be extended for 2 years, and then again for 2 years. To extend it, you must:
  • Confirm that you have sufficient financial resources.
  • Prove that you have lived in Spain for at least 183 days a year.
  • Have valid health insurance.
ATTENTION: from May 2025, the extension will be one-time: after the first year, 4 years are immediately given if all conditions are met. After that, you can apply for permanent residence for 5 years. However, to extend, you must ensure that you live in Spain for at least 183 days a year.
Referring to the question above - yes, it is necessary. The policy must cover the entire period of validity of the residence permit and include a full package of medical services.
Yes, but you will need to prove the availability of additional financial resources for each family member (100% IPREM for each, for 2025 this is +7,200€ per year).
Purchasing real estate is not a mandatory requirement for this type of residence permit, but owning property in Spain can significantly increase your chances of approval when applying.
Possible options:
  • Filing an appeal if the refusal is unfounded.
  • Re-submission with correction of the reasons for refusal.
  • Consideration of other options for a residence permit.
