On November 8, 2024, Catherine contacted us — she had an active Digital Nomad residence permit, but over the past few months, she had gained many new clients specifically from Spain, and under the new rules, she could no longer remain in “nomad” status — income from Spanish clients should not exceed 20%.

1. Document Preparation

We promptly developed a business plan for conversion, with the main focus being comprehensive interior design services for private clients and small businesses. We outlined the promotion strategy, expected income and expenses, and a development plan for the year ahead.

On December 15, 2024, the business plan was submitted. In parallel, we collected documents for registering as self-employed, translated the diploma, prepared forms, and arranged the submission fee.

2. Business Plan Approval

Date: January 22, 2025

3. Residence Permit Application

Date: January 29, 2025

Since the document package was prepared in advance, we were able to submit the application in the shortest possible time.

4. Fingerprinting and TIE Collection

On March 19, 2025, Catherine submitted her fingerprints. On April 23, 2025 — she collected her resident card.

5. Tax Consultation

Date: April 25, 2025

We reminded her that her package included tax consultation. Catherine decided to use it as she needed to review which deductions she could apply.
