Obtaining Schengen visa through Armenia and Nomad Residence Permit in Spain

We initially found them on Telegram, where they had a live stream about emigration to Spain. The team inspired confidence in us. Then we studied the information about their packages on their website and chose the maximum package with a large scope of services. We really liked everything — they were always in touch, we fully trusted them. Everything went in a friendly manner, and even when we were scared, the team encouraged us. Thanks to El Relocator for their work!

Dmitrii and his spouse reached out to us to sort out their Digital Nomad visas in Spain.

1. Getting a Schengen visa to Spain through Armenia

Visa application date: April 23, 2024

We started the collaboration on February, 19th. The first stage for Dmitrii and his spouse was getting a Schengen visa in Armenia. We prepared a complete list of documents and instructions for obtaining a social card (which can be done in one day). During the document collection process, we promptly answered all questions in the individual chat.

Meanwhile, we were monitoring available slots for submission but encountered several difficulties. First, the consulate reduced the number of places in visa centers, which increased waiting times. Then the registration system changed — now photo upload was required. We checked with the client if they had suitable photos on a white background (70-80% face) and helped with the upload.

In the meantime, we delivered the missing documents via courier in Yerevan. Finally, the system worked stably, and on April 23, Dmitrii and his spouse successfully submitted their documents.

2. Schengen Visa Approval

Date of receiving passports with visas: May 21, 2024

After a month, the coveted visas were in the applicants’ hands.

Shared joy in the chat 🙂

3. Preparing Documents for Residence Permit

After receiving the visas, Dmitrii decided to continue working with us and chose the “All-Inclusive Relocation” package. This meant that we took care of the main bureaucratic processes (obtaining certificates, translations, document submission, paying fees).

One of the challenges arose with obtaining a criminal record certificate from Turkey. The online version of the certificate couldn’t be apostilled, so clients had to obtain it from the local court. Eventually, after all procedures, they successfully got it.

Entry to Spain was through another Schengen country, so we prepared entry declarations. The applicants signed these documents at the Spanish police upon arrival.

4. Submission

Submission date: August 21, 2024

5. Receiving Residence Permit Approval

Approval date: September 11, 2024

Approval for Dmitrii and his spouse was received without additional requests.

6. Fingerprint Submission

Fingerprint submission dates: September 25 and October 4, 2024

The next stage was getting appointments for fingerprint submission. There weren’t many slots available, so the spouses had to submit fingerprints on different days.

7. Receiving Residence Permit Card

Card receipt date: November 5, 2024

Both residence permit cards were ready and collected by the clients. Next stage: opening autónomo.

8. Opening Autónomo and Social Security Registration

After opening a Spanish bank account, we started the process of registering autónomo (self-employed status in Spain).

November 8, 2024 — registration process initiation.

November 13, 2024 — social security registration and autónomo opening.

9. Tax Consultation with Gestor

After registration, we organized a consultation with a tax lawyer (gestor). On November 14, Dmitrii received clarifications on the following issues: taxation system in Spain, available tax deductions, and taxes that need to be paid when selling property outside Spain.

Now the couple has settled in Spain and continues to enjoy the beauty of this country!
