Obtaining a Schengen to Spain and a Digital Nomad residence permit

I got the Schengen visa without problems, despite never having had one before. For the Digital Nomad residence permit, the team also took care of collecting some documents, which made my life much easier. In the end, I managed to get residence permit approval on the first try with minimal involvement. Thanks again to the team!

Vladimir contacted us to obtain Spain’s Digital Nomad residence permit.

Vladimir works as an employee for a Russian company and temporarily lives in Uzbekistan. To travel to Spain, he needed to obtain a Schengen visa through the BLS visa center in Tashkent.

1. Preparing Documents for a Schengen Visa

The document package was standard. Additionally, we included:

  1. Temporary registration of the applicant in Uzbekistan (can be obtained even at a hotel)
  2. Bank statements from Russian and Uzbek banks to show the salary payment chain: first to the Russian card, then transfer to the Uzbek account
  3. Purchased tickets to Spain and back

    2. Submission

    Submission date: January 11, 2024

    3. Receiving Schengen

    Approval date: January 25, 2024

The Spanish visa was issued for 15 days, despite no visas in the last 5 years!

    4. Preparing Documents for Digital Nomad Residence Permit Application

Since the visa validity was short, we prepared documents for the residence permit application in advance, before Vladimir’s arrival in Spain. Among the standard package, there were additional documents such as:

    1. Criminal record certificates from Russia and Uzbekistan. Uzbek certificates were translated by a sworn translator from Russian, apostilles in Uzbek and English were left untranslated
    2. Salary slips and bank statements for the last 3 months

    5. Submission

    Submission date: March 2, 2024

    6. Receiving Residence Permit Approval

    Approval date: March 19, 2024

Approval was received without additional requests.

    7. Fingerprinting

    Fingerprinting date: April 10, 2024

Next, we scheduled Vladimir’s fingerprinting appointment, filled out the form for him, and prepared the fee payment.

    8. Receiving Residence Card

Card receipt date: May 13, 2024

On May 13, Vladimir picked up his card and left us a review on the same day!

A comprehensive approach always increases the chances of getting approval without additional requests!
