Obtaining a visa after 3 refusals

The client reached out to us to get a Schengen visa in Spain despite previous refusals.

The first refusal — Spain, the second — Italy, the third — Spain again. The reasons for rejection varied, including:

1. Travel purpose not proven
2. No sufficient ties to the home country
3. No clear justification for the planned stay

Even though she had submitted full documentation, including paid tickets. Elvira was emotionally drained and no longer believed a visa was realistically possible. We suggested she try a new strategy: applying through Greece while in Armenia. Since she had already been living there for almost a year, she agreed.

1. Document Preparation

We gathered and double-checked all the documents, and filled out the application with the new strategy and existing risks in mind. We paid special attention to making the application appear logical and consistent, carefully reviewing the letters attached to her previous rejections. We booked her an appointment for September 15.

2. Submission

Submission date: September 15, 2024

We personally accompanied her to the visa center.

3. Approval

Approval date: September 24, 2024

We closely monitored the status updates. And finally, on September 24 — the result was in. We opened the passport — and there it was: the long-awaited visa! Valid for 23 days — perfect for “warming up” the visa history and rebuilding trust.

Now the key is to use it properly, so the next Schengen application will be reviewed with a much higher level of confidence.
