4Georgii reached out to us to get a long-term Schengen visa despite the odds.
When Georgii contacted us, he already knew that a short-term visa wouldn’t suit him — he was looking for a solution that would allow him to stay in Europe longer. The main problem: Russian citizens rarely receive long-term visas now, especially when applying from third countries. We decided to take the risk and try anyway.
1. Document Preparation
Since Georgii was in Armenia, we started with the basics — getting a social card. We provided detailed instructions: where and how to get it, how to make an appointment, what to bring on the day of the visit, and how to properly translate the received card.
The next step was scheduling the submission — we independently found and secured a convenient date for Georgii. This was May 30, 2024, with the submission scheduled for June 6.
Despite the current practice of issuing exclusively short visas, George was ready to take the risk and apply with a long-term legend. The legend was strengthened by:
- Excellent visa history — previous trips were clearly documented.
- George regularly participated in marathons — we included certificates and photographs in the cover letter.
We also filled out the forms for him, printed and collected all the required documents, and delivered everything to him by courier in Yerevan.
2. Submission
Submission date: June 6, 2024
The appointment was secured in advance — on May 30, without any difficulties.
3. Approval Receipt
Passport receipt date: July 5, 2024
After a month of waiting, George opened the envelope and… received a 2-month Schengen visa without any additional requests!
