If you have any questions, please write to us!

To obtain this type of residence permit, you must prove that you have sufficient income:
  • For the main applicant a minimum of 400% of IPREM (approximately €28,800 per year).
  • For each dependent family member an additional 100% of IPREM (approximately €7,200 per year).
Funds can be proven through bank statements, investments, or passive income.
No, the application must be submitted at the Spanish consulate in your country of residence. Once approved, you will be granted a category D visa, which allows you to enter Spain and apply for the residence permit itself.
According to the rules, this type of residence permit does not allow any work activity in Spain, including remote work.
Yes, after residing in Spain for one year, you become a tax resident and must declare your worldwide income, including income earned outside Spain. You may be eligible for certain deductions, for example, if there is a Double Taxation Agreement between your country and Spain, you may deduct the taxes already paid in your home country.
At least 183 days per year if you intend to renew the permit. This also means that you will become a tax resident of Spain.
The initial residence permit is issued for 1 year. It can then be renewed for 2 years, and again for another 2 years. For renewal, you must:
  • Prove that you have sufficient financial resources.
  • Demonstrate that you have lived in Spain for at least 183 days per year.
  • Have valid health insurance coverage.
Yes, absolutely. The insurance policy must cover the entire duration of your residence permit and include full medical coverage.
Yes, but you will need to prove additional financial means for each family member (100% of IPREM per person, which is €7,200 per year for 2025).
Purchasing property is not a requirement for this type of permit, but owning real estate in Spain can significantly increase your chances of approval.
You have several options:
  • File an appeal if the refusal lacks justification.
  • Reapply after correcting the reasons for the refusal.
  • Consider other types of residence permits.
