We began working on October 17, 2024. Murod reached out for the renewal of his Nomad Residence Permit and was surprised to learn that all documents had to be submitted again — including scans of all passport pages, CV and labor certificates. We explained that this is indeed the case, except for the criminal record certificate, marriage and birth certificates, which are not required for renewal.

1. Document Preparation

October 21, we held a consultation with an expert to clarify details regarding the documents. We sent the client instructions on how to order an electronic apostille for the certificate of existence of his Uzbek company.

We completed all the forms for the client, prepared a marriage continuation declaration (also required for renewal), and generated the payment receipt for the government fee. A technical issue occurred: the system did not issue a receipt after the first payment, so Murod had to pay again to proceed with the submission.

2. Submission

Submission date: November 9, 2024

3. Additional Request

Additional request received: November 22, 2024

On November 22, an additional request was issued: further confirmation of cooperation with companies was required, along with clarification on who signed the contracts. We prepared an explanatory letter stating that under Uzbek law, the executive director is authorized to sign documents. We also reattached:

  1. invoices,
  2. bank statements for the last 6 months,
  3. the Uzbek equivalent of a work record book.

We responded to the request promptly.

4. Approval

Approval date: December 3, 2024

On December 3, Murod received approval for himself and all family members. The residence permit was extended for another 2 years!

5. Resident Card Issuance

January 3, 2025 — fingerprinting at the police station.

February 18, 2025 — resident cards issued for the entire family.
